1. General Statement of Policy

The Late Lala Sri Krishna Das Beriwal Smriti Trust (“the Trust”) institutes a strict No-Refund Policy for all charitable contributions.

As a registered non-profit organization, all financial contributions made to the Trust are considered voluntary, irrevocable gifts. Once a donation is successfully processed, the funds are immediately earmarked and allocated toward our ongoing charitable initiatives, community welfare programs, and operational commitments. Therefore, under no circumstances will voluntary donations be refunded or canceled once the transaction is complete.

We urge all donors to exercise due care and diligence before initiating and confirming any payment on our platform.

2. Exception for Technical Payment Errors

The Trust strictly limits refund considerations to cases of verifiable technical anomalies originating from the banking network or our third-party payment gateway.

A refund request will only be entertained under the following specific conditions:

  • Double Deduction: The donor’s account was charged multiple times for a single intended transaction due to a network timeout or gateway error.

  • Transaction Failure with Deduction: The funds were debited from the donor’s bank account, but the payment gateway failed to register the transaction with the Trust.

Change of mind, incorrect amount entry by the donor, or disagreement with the Trust’s programmatic allocations do not constitute grounds for a refund.

3. Mandatory Process for Technical Error Refunds

If you have experienced a technical payment error as outlined in Section 3, you must claim a refund within seventy-two (72) hours of the transaction. Claims made after this strict 72-hour window will be summarily rejected.

To initiate a technical error claim, you must send an email to our administrative team containing the following mandatory details:

  1. Full Name of the Donor

  2. Email Address and Phone Number used during the transaction

  3. Date and Time of the transaction

  4. Exact Donation Amount

  5. Transaction ID / Payment Gateway Reference Number

  6. A valid screenshot of the bank statement showing the erroneous debit

4. Refund Processing Timeline

Upon receiving a valid claim for a technical error, the Trust’s financial committee will investigate the discrepancy with the respective payment gateway.

  • If the claim is found to be invalid or violates this policy, the request will be denied, and the donor will be notified.

  • If the claim is verified as a genuine technical error, the Trust will initiate the refund back to the original source of payment (credit card, bank account, or UPI) within 7 to 10 working days. The Trust will not issue refunds in cash, via physical cheque, or to any alternate bank accounts.

5. Discretion and Final Authority

The Board of Trustees of the Late Lala Sri Krishna Das Beriwal Smriti Trust reserves the absolute right to accept, reject, or further investigate any refund claim. The decision of the Trust regarding any refund or cancellation request shall be final and binding.

6. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Cancellation and Refund Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
